Jonathon Brooks
RB - Carolina Panthers - PUP
This Week Outlook
Availability
Jonathon Brooks told reporters he is hopeful to be healthy by minicamp.
Fantasy Impact
Brooks is coming off another lost season in Carolina after tearing his ACL. Rico Dowdle hinted to reporters he could be leaving in free agency, so it's possible Brooks can carve out a role alongside Chuba Hubbard in the Panthers backfield.
Jonathon Brooks has been placed on the PUP list by the Panthers. Because he was placed on the PUP at this time of year, he will miss the entire 2025 season.
Fantasy Impact
It’s a big blow to already hard-hit fantasy managers who drafted Brooks with high hopes entering 2024. But of course, don’t forget the human element, it’s a big blow to Brooks as well and his NFL hopes. For fantasy, Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle will hold down the backfield with Brooks out, and he will look to get back on the field and revive his career in 2026.
Joseph Person of the Athletic reported that Jonathon Brooks is likely to miss “most if not all of 2025.”
Fantasy Impact
Brooks re-tore his ACL towards the end of last season in December. Chuba Hubbard figures to remain in a clear lead role heading into next season after signing an extension last year. Carolina could also be in the market for a running back this offseason, but likely for depth purposes.
Jonathon Brooks has re-torn his right ACL, according to head coach Dave Canales.
Fantasy Impact
This is a devastating blow for Brooks, the first running back selected in the NFL Draft in April. After a long wait, he finally made his NFL debut on November 24th and appeared in three games before this unfortunate injury. Brooks now faces another lengthy rehabilitation process. Expect Chuba Hubbard to continue leading the Panthers backfield.
Panthers RB Jonathon Brooks (knee) has officially been ruled out for the remainder of Week 14.
Fantasy Impact
Brooks was carted off the field after suffering a non-contact knee injury against the Eagles. With Raheem Blackshear also ruled out, Chuba Hubbard will see the bulk of the touches out of a thin Carolina backfield.
