Justyn Ross moved to injured reserve

Undrafted rookie WR Justyn Ross was placed on injured reserve by the Kansas City Chiefs, effectively ending his rookie season.

Fantasy Impact

Ross was a favorite by many in the draft community, and health permitting, looked like a potential steal for the Chiefs as an undrafted rookie. However, injuries derailed the talented Ross’ collegiate career. He went through foot surgery this offseason and was placed on the physically unable to perform list, but now he is on injured reserve as he continues to rehab his foot. With his rookie season over, low capital and a long list of injury history, Ross is a risky keeper in dynasty leagues despite his obvious talent.

Justyn Ross placed on PUP list to start camp

Chiefs rookie wide receiver Justyn Ross has been placed on the PUP list to start training camp, per Brad Senkiw of Sports Illustrated.

Fantasy Impact

Ross has dealt with many serious injuries over the course of his short career, but he is now recovering from a recent foot surgery with will leave him with a PUP list designation. He could technically come off the list anytime, but he's not expected to be ready to go for the foreseeable future. When he gets healthy, he has a chance at finding his way onto the active roster, so fantasy managers should continue to pay attention to his status throughout the rest of the off-season.

Free Agent Justyn Ross signs contract with the Kansas City Chiefs

Per Ian Rapoport on twitter, Free Agent WR Justyn Ross is signing with the Kansas City Chiefs after going undrafted.

Fantasy Impact

Ross recently had a surgery done by a well known Steelers doctor on his upper cervical spine which included two separate fusions, the surgery resulted in the Clemson WR falling off of most teams draft boards. The Clemson standout has a lot of potential if he can stay healthy as he posted 1,865 yards and 17 touchdowns in just his first two seasons before the injury.
