Kenneth Gainwell
RB - Pittsburgh Steelers
Availability
Kenneth Gainwell rushed for -1 yard on three attempts in the Steelers 27-20 win over the Colts. He caught 4-of-5 targets for 35 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Gainwell saw the bulk of the passing down work out of the Steelers' backfield, but saw 13 less touches in the running game. Jaylen Warren struggled to get anything consistent going, but he was able to tally two touchdowns. If Gainwell is going to be limited to passing down work, his value for fantasy managers will be limited.
Kenneth Gainwell ran for 31 yards on five carries on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Gainwell added two receptions. He also lost a fumble. He remains the clear backup behind Jaylen Warren.
Kenneth Gainwell rushed three times for 14 yards and caught both of his targets for one yard in Thursday's 33-31 loss to the Bengals. He also handled kick return duties, gaining 88 yards on three returns.
Fantasy Impact
With Jaylen Warren having a breakout performance, Gainwell reverted to a strict complementary role, seeing season lows in carries and rushing yards. His main contributions came on special teams. Gainwell is expected to remain in a low-volume role heading into the Steelers' Week 8 matchup against the Packers and is not fantasy relevant.
Kenneth Gainwell rushed six times for 22 yards while also catching all six of his targets for 14 yards in the Steelers' 23-9 win over the Browns in Week 6.
Fantasy Impact
Gainwell has been mostly held in check out of the Pittsburgh backfield to this point, finishing with less than 40 offensive yards in four of five games for the Steelers. The running back can be left out of lineups in all formats until further notice ahead of a Week 7 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Kenneth Gainwell tallied 99 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in the Steelers 24-21 win over the Vikings. He caught all six of his targets for 35 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Gainwell was filling in for the injured Jaylen Warren and turned in a great performance. He plunged into the end zone on one and four yard touchdown runs. With the Steelers heading into their Week 5 bye week, Warren may recover and return in Week 6 as the primary back for the Steelers.
