2024 Outlook
Buffalo defensive lineman Kyle Williams announced in a statement Friday that he will retire after Sunday’s season finale. The Bills sent him out with a bang as the big man had a nine yard reception in the fourth quarter of the 42-17 win over the Dolphins. It was the first and only catch of his career. On the defensive side, he recorded three tackles including one for a loss.
Fantasy Impact
Williams played 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Bills. Buffalo selected Williams in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He was named to the Pro Bowl five times and was first-team All-Pro once. His best season came in 2013 when he had a career-high 10.5 sacks. Williams described himself as “grateful” for his time in Buffalo. “To have spent this much time with one team,” he said in a statement provided by the Bills Friday. “To have had the opportunity to get to know this organization, this community, and more importantly, the people. To have raised my family here. To have made countless memories and friendships, on and off the field.” He finishes his final season with 34 tackles, five sacks, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and one pass defensed in 16 games. Oh, and one catch for nine yards, and a ton of memories.

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams, who was injured Oct. 18, will undergo season-ending surgery on his left knee, he said Friday.
Fantasy Impact
One of the Bills' top players for the past decade, Williams is 32 but said he intends to return next year. Corbin Bryant has been starting in his place and is not an IDP option.
Kyle Williams did not practice on Thursday and is not expected to play on Monday for the game against the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Williams' last game was over a month ago, so the impact of having him out of the roster will be minimal for the Bills' defense. He is expected to return to the field soon.
Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kyle Williams will likely miss the Buffalo Bills' next two games because of a left knee injury suffered Oct. 18. Corbin Bryant is likely to start in his place.
Fantasy Impact
Neither Williams not Bryant are IDP candidates. A greater issue on the Bills defense is coach Rex Ryan finding an identity after being criticized for misusing the wealth of talent on the defensive line, especially Mario Williams.
