La'el Collins suspended five games

Cowboys OT La'el Collins has been suspended five games for violating the NFL's policy on substances of abuse, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact

Collins was incredible on Thursday in the season opener, holding the Tampa Bay pass rushers at bay all game long. This will be a big loss for the Cowboys and they will likely have to lean on their tight ends more to help out with blocking until Collins can return.

La'el Collins restructures contract, per Schefter

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cowboys and OL La'el Collins have agreed to a contract restructure that will help the Cowboys save $17 million.

Fantasy Impact

Collins along with two other Cowboys offensive lineman agreed to a restructured contract that will help save the Cowboys roughly $17 million in cap space this season. The veteran started and played in 15 games last season for the Cowboys.

La’el Collins to undergo hip surgery, will miss remainder of season

Cowboys T La’el Collins will undergo hip surgery on Wednesday and he will be out for the remainder of the season.

Fantasy Impact

Collins tried to push through the pain, but it’s become intolerable. This is a big blow to the Cowboys offensive line, but they still have one of the best offensive line units in the NFL, even without Collins.

La'el Collins expected to play Week 7

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Cowboys OL La'el Collins (knee) is expected to play Week 7.

Fantasy Impact

Collins is expected to play after missing last week's loss to the Jets. He will be a huge boost to a Dallas offense dealing with injuries in 2019, especially on the line.

La'el Collins ruled out for Week 6

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Cowboys OL La'el Collins (MCL) will not play in Week 6.

Fantasy Impact

With Collins out, Brandon Knight will attempt to fill his void at right tackle. And with Tyron Smith a game-time call on the other side, the Cowboys could be without both of their starting tackles for the second straight game. And we know how that turned out against Green Bay. While the Jets don't have the same pop in their pass rush as the Packers, the Cowboys could really use Smith in Week 6 to keep Dak Prescott upright.
