Free agent DT Larry Ogunjobi has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
Ogunjobi has been one of the more under-the-radar free agent targets for teams this off-season, but he finally finds himself a home in Pittsburgh. The veteran defensive tackle was effective in Cincinnati last season, notching multiple sacks and being a solid contributor to a surprisingly good Bengals defense. He will continue his career as a Steeler, and this does nothing more than provide a nice boost for Pittsburgh's defensive line.
Ian Rapoport is reporting that Larry Ogunjobi is close to a three-year deal with the Bears.
Fantasy Impact
The contract is reported to be for $40.5 million, $26.35 million of which is guaranteed. The former third round draft pick for Cleveland played 16 games for Cincinnati last year before getting injured in the playoffs. He did tally seven sacks and 49 tackles while healthy.
Larry Ogunjobi was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Fantasy Impact
This ends Ogunjobi's season coming off a year where he recorded a career-high seven sacks. It is a big loss for the Bengals ahead of Saturday's divisional round matchup against the Titans. Cincinnati restored Xavier Su'a-Filo to the active roster from IR as the corresponding move.
