McDaniel had drawn interest from other teams in both a head coach and offensive coordinator role. It was announced earlier on Tuesday that he had taken his name out of the race to be the Cleveland Browns next head coach. He will likely bring a faster-paced offense to the Chargers led by Justin Herbert through the air and Omarion Hampton on the ground. This should lead to more upside for the Chargers offense as a whole heading into next season.

Los Angeles' defense had a sneaky good game on Sunday, allowing Denver's starters to score just 13 points over the course of the game. This unit is on something of a hot streak, as they have only allowed their opponent to score more than 20 points just once in the last ten weeks. They could give the Patriots a run for their money in the Wild Card round if they can keep that momentum up.
