Marcus Jones (shoulder) placed on IR

Marcus Jones (shoulder) has been placed on New England's injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact

Jones tore his labrum during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins and will be placed on the team's injured reserve because of it. He will have to be out for the next four games at the very least, and he may very well miss more time beyond that. This is another tough blow for New England's secondary, but they still should continue to be one of the best defenses in the NFL moving forward.

Marcus Jones catches pass and records pick-six against Bengals

Marcus Jones continued to show off his versatility against the Bengals in Week 16. The rookie cornerback stepped up big on Saturday, registering 14 tackles, recovering a fumble, and returning an interception for a touchdown. He also got involved on offense, catching a pass from Mac Jones for a 15-yard gain.

Fantasy Impact

Jones provides immense value for the Patriots as a motivated special teamer, talented cornerback on defense, and sneaky chess piece on offense. He has logged an offensive reception in three of his last four games, and on Saturday, he became the second player in NFL history to register a receiving touchdown, interception return touchdown, and punt return touchdown in one season. (The other: Deion Sanders.) Needless to say, while Jones might not be on the fantasy radar, he has quickly blossomed into a fan-favorite in New England.

Marcus Jones has big touchdown catch versus Bills

Marcus Jones hauled in both of his targets for 51 yards against the Bills on Thursday. One of his receptions was an impressive 48-yard touchdown.

Fantasy Impact

Jones is a cornerback who had only played on defense and special teams through the first 11 games. However, he got involved on offense Thursday as the Patriots utilized his playmaking ability. Still, given his roots as a cornerback, it would be unwise to assume he'll see consistent snaps on offense going forward.
