Klein heads to Houston with the 59th overall pick and will provide depth at the tight end position. The Michigan product has tremendous size (6-6, 242), but is most likely viewed more as a blocking tight end than as a receiver. Klein did not have eye-popping numbers at Michigan, totaling just 37 catches for 364 yards and one score in three seasons. Starting TE Dalton Schultz is 29 and on the last year of his contract, so the Texans thought drafting tight end would be beneficial. Klein will likely use 2026 as a developmental year and could likely be viewed as the tight end of the future in Houston.
