QB - FA
This Week Outlook
Veteran QB Matt Moore is re-signing with the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal.
The veteran is being re-signed as insurance for the new half-billion dollar man Patrick Mahomes. Moore should slot in as the backup for one more season in Kansas City.
Matt Moore completed 25-of-35 passes for 275 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' 26-23 win over the Vikings Sunday.
Moore played another solid game Sunday and gave fantasy owners just enough to justify giving him a spot-start. He returns to fantasy irrelevance next week with Patrick Mahomes (kneecap) expected back.
Matt Moore will receive the start in Week 9 when the Chiefs take on the Vikings.
Moore was named the starter in Kansas City for Week 9. The backup QB does not make for a high-upside play as he will be taking on the Vikings who give up an average of 16.2 fantasy points per game to the QB-position, good for 13th best. Chad Henne will serve as Moore's backup.
Matt Moore completed 24-of-36 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 31-24 loss to the Packers Sunday. He added one rush for three yards.
Moore played well in his first start in two seasons Sunday. With Patrick Mahomes (knee) expected back next week, Moore will return to fantasy irrelevancy.
Matt Moore completed 10-of-19 passes for 117 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs ‘ 30-6 win over the Broncos Thursday.
Moore came on in the second quarter following Patrick Mahomes leaving with a knee injury. Moore is the starter until Mahomes returns and will be a decent fantasy option. Initial estimates have Mahomes out at least three weeks pending MRI results.
