Matthew Tucker

The Eagles opened up a roster spot with the release of RB Matthew Tucker. Although Tucker had a fighters chance to crack the roster, it was very tough with DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews, and Darren Sproles in front of him.

Fantasy Impact

Tucker has been battling to make the Eagles roster for the past two years and always seemed to run well in camp and preseason but was usually headed to the Practice Squad. Tucker will move on from the Eagles and likely find a job on another teams roster during training camp.

The Eagles are stacked at the RB position with DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles as the household names on the team. After that it looks to be an uphill battle for Matthew Tucker who has spent most of his time with the team the last two years on the practice squad.

Fantasy Impact

With DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews both having a history of injuries and Darren Sproles being more of a pass catching threat, the 4th RB on the Eagles roster still has some fantasy relevance.

Tucker had an impressive day in filling in for LeSean McCoy who exited after the first quarter in Philadelphia's third preseason game against the Steelers.

Fantasy Impact

Tucker ran hard for 46 yards on 10 carries and 2 goal line touchdowns against the Steelers on Thursday night. With Chris Polk nursing an injury, Tucker is a name to keep an eye on in this high powered Eagles offense.
