Max Brosmer
QB - Minnesota Vikings
Availability
Max Brosmer completed 9-of-16 pass attempts for 51 yards while also rushing twice for 16 yards in the Vikings' 23-10 Week 17 win over the Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Brosmer has underwhelmed behind center when called upon, finishing with less than 130 passing yards in each of his last three games. The rookie signal-caller cannot be trusted in any format ahead of a Week 18 contest against the Green Bay Packers.
Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said Max Brosmer will start Minnesota’s Week 17 game against the Lions.
Fantasy Impact
J.J. McCarthy was ruled out with a hairline fracture. Brosmer struggled in his first start earlier this season against the Seahawks. He will be facing a banged up Lions defense, but still likely remains off the fantasy radar.
Max Brosmer completed 7-of-9 pass attempts for 52 yards in the Vikings' 16-13 win over the Giants in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact
Brosmer made the most of his opportunities behind center after replacing J.J. McCarthy (hand) in the second half, as he did not turn the ball over against an aggressive New York defensive front. The rookie quarterback could be in line to start if McCarthy is unable to suit up in Week 17 against the Detroit Lions.
Max Brosmer completed 19-of-30 passing attempts for 126 yards and four interceptions in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact
Brosmer had about as poor of an NFL debut as possible on Sunday. He failed to score a touchdown and threw four interceptions against the Seahawks, and he wasn't able to lead the Vikings on even one scoring drive in that matchup. J.J. McCarthy (concussion) may be cleared to play in the near future and would likely reclaim the starting job over Brosmer, but it's debatable how much of an upgrade that would actually be.
With J.J. McCarthy officially ruled out due to a concussion and Carson Wentz already on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, the Vikings are turning to rookie Max Brosmer to start under center this Sunday against Seattle. The 24-year-old, who went undrafted out of Minnesota, finds himself atop the depth chart as the next man up for the struggling squad.
Fantasy Impact
Brosmer has seen sparse action in the regular season, completing five of eight passes for 42 yards without a score. His preseason work offered a larger sample size, where he completed 60 percent of his 58 attempts for 364 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
