2024 Outlook

The Los Angeles Chargers have waived rookie QB Max Duggan and plan to re-sign him to their practice squad should he clear waivers.
Fantasy Impact
This is just a procedural move for L.A., as they signed Duggan to their active roster for Week 15 to play QB2 behind Easton Stick after Justin Herbert went on season-ending injured reserve. However, with the Chargers letting go of their general manager and head coach, the first move they do is sign QB Will Grier off the New England Patriots practice squad, meaning he must sign with the Chargers' active roster. This kicks Duggan back down to the practice squad after he is subjected to the waiver wire, which he has survived once already this season, to become L.A.'s emergency QB3.
The Chargers have added Max Duggan to their active roster.
Fantasy Impact
This move comes after it was announced that Justin Herbert will miss the rest of this season. Duggan should backup Easton Stick who will be starting on Thursday against the Raiders.
The Chargers have re-signed QB Max Duggan to their practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Duggan was waived by the Chargers Tuesday, but will get a chance to remain with the team via the practice squad. The former seventh-round pick will get a chance to continue to develop on the practice squad.
Max Duggan has been waived by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Duggan was a seventh-round draft pick this year, but he didn't have a good enough off-season to earn a roster spot. The team is waiving him, but they could possibly bring him back on the practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers. He never really had a chance to see the field this year so his departure from the Chargers won't change the outlook for anybody on this offense.
