DST - Miami Dolphins
This Week Outlook
Availability
Mike McDaniel has been fired by the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
After it initially looked like McDaniel was safe, it turns out he was not, in fact, safe. The Dolphins will be looking for a new GM, head coach, and likely quarterback this offseason. A busy time for them indeed. As for McDaniel, he will likely see interest from other teams now that he is in the pool of available coaches.
The Dolphins' D/ST failed to record a single sack or turnover and allowed 38 points in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Miami's defense had a terrible last game of the season on Sunday. They allowed New England's offense to score 38 points over the course of the afternoon, and they weren't able to make any big plays to help out their offense. There will need to be a lot of changes made to this unit if they want to be competitive for the 2026 NFL season.
The Miami Dolphins D/ST racked up two interceptions, three sacks, and a fumble recovery in the Dolphins’ 20-17 win over the Bucs on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Miami might be out of the playoffs, but they put heart into this game against a desperate Tampa Bay team. They’ve really turned this around this season after getting off to a rough start, and have won six of their last nine games.
The Dolphins' D/ST logged two sacks and allowed 45 points in Sunday's blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Miami's defense had a terrible game on Sunday. They allowed Cincinnati's offense to drop 45 points over the course of the afternoon, and they weren't able to log any big plays to help out their offense. This unit should not be started for the remainder of the season.
The Dolphins defense allowed 28 points on 336 yards of offense, coming up with three sacks but forcing no turnovers in Monday's loss to the Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
The Dolphins defense actually played very well in the first half of Monday's game, shutting out the Steelers until the waning seconds before halftime. The second half was a different story, as the Steelers moved the ball down the field however they wanted, crossing the goal line three times in the first 17 minutes. The Dolphins will be a middling option for fantasy purposes in Week 16 against the Bengals.
