DST - MIA
Week 12 Outlook
The Miami Dolphins D/ST recorded one interception and one fumble recovery in the team's 20-13 Week 11 loss to the Broncos.
The unit didn't register any sacks. It's a let down from a fantasy perspective as the Dolphins were expected to feast off an injured Drew Lock. Still, this unit will remain worth starting in Week 12 against the Jets.
The Miami D/ST gave up 21 points and added two sacks, an interception, and a blocked punt in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
This Miami D/ST continues to make game-impacting plays. Andrew Van Ginkel blocked a punt that immediately turned in a touchdown on Sunday and this defense has scored seven or more fantasy points in five straight games. Outside of Kansas City in Week 14 (fantasy playoffs), the schedule remains favorable moving forward.
The Miami Dolphins D/ST scored a touchdown, recovered a fumble, and registered one sack in the team's Week 9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
This was an impressive showing against Kyler Murray and company. Miami's defense has morphed into one of the best in all of football over the course of the 2020 campaign. A Week 10 matchup with the Chargers isn't all that appealing, but the Dolphins get the Broncos, Jets, and Bengals after that.
The Miami D/ST recorded two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and two interceptions while holding the Rams to just 17 points on Sunday.
If you started the Miami D/ST (not likely) on Sunday, your team probably won its matchup. Miami wreaked havoc on the Rams, scoring an 80-yard TD on an Andrew Van Ginkel fumble recovery, and nearly had another as Kyle Van Noy picked up a second Goff fumble and returned it to the Rams' one-yard line. Jakeem Grant scored on an 88-yard punt return and had a 45-yard kickoff return as well. This marks back-to-back weeks the Miami D/ST has scored 20+ fantasy points and could be putting themselves in the conversation as a streaming option with a favorable upcoming schedule that includes the Broncos, Jets, and Bengals.
The Miami Dolphins D/ST recorded an interception and three sacks in the team's 24-0 Week 6 win over the Jets.
It's always impressive when a defense posts a shutout, but the 2020 Jets are one of the easier matchups a team can have right now. Still, Miami was serviceable for fantasy purposes in this one. They can be dropped onto the waiver wire ahead of a Week 7 bye.
