Michael Dyer

Rookie running back Michael Dyer performed well Saturday in Minnesota. He carried 12 times for 45 yards, with a long of seven. He also caught one pass for negative one yard.

Fantasy Impact

Dyer looked so much quicker than Trent Richardson. With the status of Roy Helu up in the air, the backup position to Latavius Murray could be in-play. I'd be surprised if the coaching staff chooses Richardson over Dyer.

Dyer broke Bo Jackson's freshman rushing record at Auburn. He's 5'9" 220lbs and runs a 4.58 40 yard dash. There are off-the-field concerns as he was suspended from Auburn for undisclosed violations. Dyer was also dismissed from Arkansas State for speeding and allegedly possessing a gun and marijuana. At Louisville, he was deemed academically ineligible. With word that Trent Richardson is 50/50 to make the team, Dyer could make an interesting dynasty or deep-league stash.
