RB - MIN
Week 12 Outlook
Vikings' RB Mike Boone was held to just one rushing attempt for negative one yard and hauled in his lone target for six yards in Sunday's 40-23 blowout loss to the Falcons.
Boone was the back-up to RB Alexander Mattison, who replaced injured Vikings' star RB Dalvin Cook (groin) as the starter on Sunday. Minnesota quickly fell behind in the first half as QB Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions, which resulted in the running game being game-scripted out to erase the huge deficit. With the Vikings heading into their Week 7 Bye, Boone can be dropped to waivers as Cook is expected to return in Week 8.
Minnesota Vikings RB Mike Boone suffers a concussion in Sunday's game against the Colts and was forced to leave in the second quarter.
Boone suffered the concussion on his fifth special teams play of the game and did not return. He is listed as RB4 on the Vikings depth chart and shouldn't be rostered in any leagues at this time.
Mike Boone carried 17 times for 148 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for 12 yards in the Vikings’ 21-19 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Boone ripped Chicago for 160 total yards, delivering a performance fantasy owners had been waiting on since he took over the reins of the backfield. In the regular-season finale, both Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison were rested in anticipation of Wild Card Weekend.
Mike Boone carried 11 times for 28 yards, adding a five-yard reception in the Vikings’ 23-10 loss to the Packers on Monday.
Boone, one of the hottest waiver wire adds of Week 16, completely obliterated fantasy owner's championship aspirations with his huge letdown performance. After scoring twice on a healthy rushing line in Week 15, he was held completely in check against Green Bay. Assuming one of Dalvin Cook or Alexander Mattison is ready to go in Week 17, Boone will be relegated back to the bench, ending his 15 minutes of fantasy fame.
Mike Boone will be the Vikings starting running back Monday against the Packers.
With Dalvin Cook (chest) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) both ruled out for Monday Night Football, Boone will draw his first career start. He carried 13 times for 56 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s Week 15 win over the Chargers. Boone is poised to get a heavy workload and is a high upside RB2 for Fantasy Championship Week. Ameer Abdullah will back him up.
