Former Jets' QB Mike White is reportedly signing a 2-year deal worth up to $16 million.

White appeared in four games for New York last season, throwing for 1,192 yards, three TD, and four interceptions. The 27-year-old will presumably be the QB2 on the Dolphins' roster behind Tua Tagovailoa.

White was slated to start the regular season finale if healthy, but the Jets will turn to veteran Joe Flacco for the fourth time this season. Zach Wilson will serve as the backup in Week 18.

This is a downgrade after White was originally listed as a full participant. It could be Zach Wilson or Chris Streveler against Skylar Thompson or Mike Glennon on Sunday between the Jets and Dolphins.

Jets' HC Robert Saleh reiterated on Monday that Mike White is dealing with some general soreness but should be good to go against the Dolphins in Week 18.

White should be in line to get the final start of the season for the Jets, who were just eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to Seattle on Sunday. White struggled mightily against the Seahawks, throwing two interceptions and failing to get any real scoring drives going on offense. Week 18 against Miami will be White's final opportunity to make a case for retaining his roster spot in 2023.

Mike White completed 23-of-46 passes for 240 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions in New York’s 23-6 loss to the Seahawks in Week 17.

Mike White has now lost three straight starts since his three-touchdown performance in a win over the Bears in Week 12. He has also failed to throw for more than 268 yards in the past two games after amassing 684 passing yards and four total touchdowns in his first two starts. White's rib injury has clearly contributed to the drop in performance and he is still a highly volatile start in Week 18 even in DFS formats. The Western Kentucky product is unstartable except in the most extreme emergencies in any season-long championship rounds.
