RB - MIA
Cameron Wolfe of ESPN writes "it would be a shock" if the Dolphins didn't acquire a new feature back this offseason.
Miami has already been linked to Aaron Jones in free agency, but Wolfe adds that the organization could draft a top-tier RB such as Najee Harris or Javonte Williams. Myles Gaskin finished the 2020 season as Miami's top running back, but it's looking as if he'll be more of a depth piece in 2021.
Myles Gaskin totaled 77 yards against the Buffalo Bills, rushing for 20 yards and a touchdown while hauling in four receptions for 57 yards in a 56-26 blowout loss on Sunday.
Gaskin couldn't get much going on the ground but was able to find the end zone, while contributing 57 yards through the air. The second-year running back will look to compete for the starting job heading into the 2021 season after the Dolphins were eliminated from postseason contention on Sunday.
Myles Gaskin rushed 14 times for 87 yards in the Dolphins' Week 16 win over the Raiders, adding five receptions for 82 yards and two scores through the air.
It was a monster game for Gaskin in his return from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Backfield mate Salvon Ahmed was wildly ineffective in this one, gaining just two rushing yards on six carries. The highlight for Gaskin was a 52-yard TD that might've helped many fantasy managers win their league championship. Gaskin currently looks like an RB2 for a Week 17 matchup with the Bills.
The Dolphins activated RB Myles Gaskin from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Gaskin was at practice on Wednesday and is now likely to play in Week 16 against the Raiders. It's unclear how this backfield will shake out after Salvon Ahmed handled 20+ touches this past Sunday. Gaskin is likely the 1A to Ahmed's 1B moving forward, which renders both players as FLEX plays for fantasy football's championship weekend.
Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin is back at practice.
Gaskin's return to practice suggests that he will be activated from the reserve/COVID list at some point this afternoon. Gaskin missed two contests on the list. The sophomore running back has been a revelation for the Dolphins and fantasy managers alike this season but has appeared in just one contest since Week 8. His return to practice on a Wednesday is a great sign for his Week 16 availability.
