Former Chargers defensive back Nasir Adderley has announced his intention to return to football in 2026 after three years away from the sport. He retired in 2023 at the age of 25.
Fantasy Impact
Adderley, a former second-round pick by the Chargers in the 2019 NFL Draft, had a solid start to his NFL career before retiring in 2023 to protect his mental health and spend more time with family. After being used sparingly in his rookie season, Adderley started 44 games from 2020-22 and totaled 230 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four tackles for a loss. Adderley will turn 29 in May and will hope to land with a team looking to take a chance on him.
The Los Angeles Chargers have selected former Delaware S Nasir Adderley with the 60th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
The Chargers got a great value in Adderley, who was considered by some to be a late first round selection. He’ll be a solid addition to pair with 2018 first round S Derwin James.
