Although the Patriots’ defense failed to force any turnovers, they were able to force the Jets to punt eight times Sunday. The defense allowed just 157 passing yards and 38 rushing yards in the win. The Patriots’ defense will have a tough test when they take on the Cowboys in Dallas in Week 4.
The New England Patriots DST allowed 24 points, 249 passing yards, and 145 rushing yards in a loss to Miami Sunday.
The Patriots’ defense tallied one interception, one sack, and three passes defensed in the loss. The defense was able to keep the speedy offense at bay, but the Patriots’ offense struggled early on. The Patriots will look to turn their season around in Week 2 against the Jets.
The New England Patriots D/ST allowed 25 points, 170 passing yards, and 97 rushing yards in a Week 1 loss to the Eagles.
The Patriots’ defense tallied three sacks, one fumble recovery, and four passes defensed in the loss. The Patriots fell behind early after a pick six by the Eagles’ defense, but did enough to keep the team in the game for a potential comeback. New England will have a tough test when they take on the Dolphins in Week 2.
The New England Patriots’ DST allowed 176 passing yards, 89 rushing yards, and 20 points Thursday.
The Patriots defense did tally an interception, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one pass defensed. The team only had a few of their starters, like Jalen Mills and Christian Gonzalez on the field Thursday night, so the defense struggling is not a surprise. The Patriots’ DST ranks sixth in ECR, according to FantasyPros.
The Patriots are scheduled to work out UDFA QB Matthew McKay Monday.
McKay tallied 2,690 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and four interceptions at Elon University. The Patriots currently have Bailey Zappe and Trace McSorley backing up Mac Jones in camp, with UDFA QB Malik Cunningham transitioning to wide receiver. McKay could be brought into Patriots’ training camp and land with the team’s practice squad later in the offseason.
