Bosa returned to the practice field Thursday after sitting out training camp and the preseason amid a contract dispute with the organization. After signing an extension making the pass-rusher the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history, Bosa should see plenty of snaps against a Pittsburgh offense with plenty of questions heading into Sunday’s matchup.

The 49ers announced they officially signed reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and All-Pro DL Nick Bosa to a five-year extension that runs through the 2028 season.

Bosa returned to practice with the team and is currently scheduled to be playing on Sunday against the Steelers. He becomes the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history and should remain a force on the 49ers defensive line.

According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, the 49ers and all-pro DE Nick Bosa have agreed to a five-year deal to make Bosa the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL.
