Noah Gray
TE - KC
2022 Outlook
It looks like the Chiefs may have found a steal in tight end Noah Gray, whom they selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft after trading up with the Jets. Gray recorded "another strong practice Tuesday, catching multiple passes in the middle of the field from Patrick Mahomes," according to Nate Taylor of The Athletic. All signs point to him having a legitimate shot at the No. 2 tight end role out of camp.
Fantasy Impact
Gray has even drawn praise from Travis Kelce, whom many see as the best tight end in all of football. “It’s been a lot of fun so far, and [Gray] has got a very unique way of understanding football,” explained Kelce. “He’s years ahead of being a rookie, which is awesome. You can kind of give him pointers and he’s running with everything. He’s absorbing all the information that the coaches are giving him. He’s having a lot of success. He’s going to definitely help us this year.”
The Chiefs have selected tight end Noah Gray with the No. 162 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Gray is a 6-foot-3, 240-pound tight end out of Duke. He totaled a 19% target share in 2019, but that went down to 11.5% last season. Gray most notably totaled a 50th percentile (17.4) college dominator rating and a 78th percentile (11.35) agility score. He's a bit undersized for the tight end position, but is a semi-athletic dart throw pick by the Chiefs.
