Paul Kruger
LB - FA
2025 Outlook
Availability
The New Orleans Saints and pass rusher Paul Kruger agreed to terms on a deal that has not yet been disclosed.
Fantasy Impact
Kruger is a seven-year veteran in the NFL who played with the Ravens and Browns. Kruger amassed 33 sacks and seven forced fumbles in his career. Despite the addition, New Orleans' D/ST should be avoided in the upcoming fantasy football campaign.
Outside linebacker Paul Kruger was cut by the Cleveland Browns yesterday, but currently has visits lined up with the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs
Fantasy Impact
Kruger was mentioned as a possible cut earlier in the offseason, but nothing came of it until now. Easily the best pass rusher on the market, the Saints and Chiefs are both wise to kick the tires on the veteran. The Chiefs, in particular, could use Kruger as part of a stop-gap solution until Justin Houston (ACL) returns.
Paul Kruger had four tackles (two solo) in Week 16 against the Chiefs. He was also credited with a quarterback hit in the game.
Fantasy Impact
The four tackles are the most he's had since Week 1 in what has been a disappointing season for the veteran linebacker. A year after logging 11 sacks, he has just 2.5 this season. He is best left on waivers in IDP leagues.
Paul Kruger picked up Cleveland's lone sack of the game on Sunday against the Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Kruger has been a disappointment this season with just 2.5 sacks after setting a career-high last season with 11. He also has made just 21 tackles on the year.
Paul Kruger made two tackles and logged a sack on Thursday night against the Bengals. The Browns went on to lose 31-10.
Fantasy Impact
Kruger now has one and one-half sacks and 17 tackles on the year. This comes after he set a career-high with 11 sacks last season. He has been playing on the strong-side this season, forcing him into coverage and out of pass rush situations. Because of this, he's no longer a viable fantasy option in IDP leagues.
