Bills DT Phidarian Mathis has been suspended for three games for violating the NFL's Substances of Abuse Policy.

Mathis was drafted by the Commanders in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He appeared in 23 games in three seasons with Washington and totaled 25 tackles and a pair of tackles for a loss. Last season, he appeared in six games with the Bills and finished with 13 total stops while playing 120 defensive snaps. Mathis will continue to provide depth at the defensive tackle position in Buffalo.

The former Alabama standout played in a dozen games for the Commanders in 2024, recording 17 total tackles, including two for loss and one pass deflection. Mathis will give the Bills some extra depth for their defensive line.
