Philadelphia Eagles
DST - PHI
The Eagles defense allowed 28 points on 374 yards of total offense in Thursday's win over the Vikings, but the unit came up with four fumble recoveries.
Fantasy Impact
The Eagles defense gave up the vast majority of the Vikings production through the air. The Philly unit completely stifled the running game, limiting the Minnesota ball carriers to just 28 yards on nine carries. The four forced turnovers were big for fantasy purposes and obviously a key in the outcome.
The Philadelphia Eagles D/ST allowed 20 points, 316 passing yards, and 76 rushing yards in a Week 1 win over the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
The Eagles’ defense tallied one interception, two sacks, one fumble recovery, and 10 passes defensed. The defense bottled up the running game and forced the Patriots to pass for the majority of the game. The Eagles will have a tough test finding a way to stop Justin Jefferson and the Vikings in a Week 2 matchup.
The Philadelphia Eagles D/ST allowed 13 points on 313 total yards while recording seven sacks and one interception in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
Fantasy Impact
The Philadelphia Eagles D/ST got off to a rough start, allowing a nine-minute, 15-play touchdown drive that set the tone for the afternoon. They cleaned things up for the most part after that drive, allowing chunks of yards but holding the Saints to six points for the rest of the drive. They recorded at least six sacks for the fifth consecutive game and became the first team in NFL history with four players with 10 or more sacks.
The Eagles D/ST recorded six sacks, returned an interception for a touchdown while allowing 40 points in a 40-34 Week 16 loss to the Cowboys.
Fantasy Impact
The Eagles D/ST had no answer against the Cowboys offense Saturday, getting beaten on the ground and through the air and allowing 462 total offensive yards and four touchdowns on the day. The unit will look to get back on track in a Week 17 home matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
The Eagles D/ST allowed 20 points to Chicago in Week 15, compiling six sacks and recovering a fumble as Philadelphia pushed their league-leading record to 13-1.
Fantasy Impact
The Eagles' defense was tasked with slowing down the most elusive QB in the NFL on Sunday, and they did just enough to squeak out the tight win. Justin Fields did his part, equating for two touchdowns and still nearly topping 100 rushing yards, but the Eagles' front-seven helped themselves out with some timely sacks and plays late in the second half. The Philly defense has quietly compiled 19 sacks over their past three games and will be a fine option in the fantasy championship rounds in what could be an interdivisional slugfest with Dallas next week.
