Pierre Desir agrees to a one-year, up to $5.5M deal with the Jets

Former Colts CB Pierre Desir signs a one-year deal with the New York Jets worth up to $5.5M.

Fantasy Impact

Desir lands with the Jets after his surprising release from Indianapolis just a day ago. He’d been a three-year starter with the Colts after playing for the Browns and the Chargers prior to that. He’ll run with New York for the 2020 season on a one-year “prove it” type deal.

Pierre Desir being released by the Colts

Colts CB Pierre Dessir is being released by the Indianapolis Colts. Dessir was owed almost $7M this year after being paid $9M in 2019.

Fantasy Impact

Dessir spent three productive seasons in Indianapolis, recording 161 tackles and five interceptions in 37 games. The former 2014 fourth-round pick will now become a free agent, and should draw some interest from a handful of teams looking for help in the secondary.

Pierre Desir recorded seven tackles, including five solo tackles in the Colts' loss to the Titans.

Fantasy Impact

Desir recorded back-to-back games with at least seven tackles. Unfortunately, Desir shouldn't be trusted in IDP leagues.

Pierre Desir hauls in interception in loss

Pierre Desir recorded an interception on eight total tackles in the Colts' loss to the Steelers.

Fantasy Impact

A great game for the 2014 fourth-round pick. Desir not only recorded his first career interception, he recorded the second-most tackles of his career.
