2025 Outlook

The Dolphins signed seventh-round pick QB Quinn Ewers to a four-year contract.
Fantasy Impact
Ewers will likely enter the season as the No. 3 quarterback for Miami behind Tua Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson. He'll have a chance to compete with Wilson for the backup role.
The Miami Dolphins have selected QB Quinn Ewers with the No. 231 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Many had higher hopes for Ewers. However, the former Texas star landed in a sneaky good place for his fantasy value. Unfortunately, Tua Tagovailoa has struggled with injuries in his career, including missing six games last year. Zach Wilson is the current backup, meaning Ewers could earn the No. 2 role as a rookie. He might be a Tagovailoa injury away from starting.
Texas QB Quinn Ewers said he is fully healthy after playing through injuries last season.
Fantasy Impact
Ewers reported played through a torn oblique as well as a high-ankle sprain. “The oblique, it started popping up on me the Monday after we played Michigan [in Week 2],” Ewers said Friday at the NFL Combine. “Just kind of thought it was a little tweak, and then throughout practice it got worse and worse and worse. Then, obviously kind of just popped against UTSA [in Week 3]. I would probably say I played two games, maybe three games, healthy, counting the first two and then maybe one in between the ankle and the oblique.” He said he is 100 percent now and is expected to throw for scouts at the combine. “That’s the easy part of this week,” Ewers said.
Texas QB Quinn Ewers has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
This was the expectation. Ewers ends his career at Texas going 21-5 across the past two seasons and leading the Longhorns to back-to-back semifinal appearances. He'll be a quarterback to monitor in April to see where he lands.
