Ra'Shede Hageman looks to gain starting DT position

"By arriving at offseason workouts in fantastic shape, Ra’Shede Hageman has reignited much of the excitement that surrounded him at the 2014 Draft."

Fantasy Impact

Hageman will be in the mix for the starting DT spot with veteran Jonathan Babineaux and the run-stopping Paul Soliai. Switching to new coach Dan Quinn's scheme gives Hageman the shot to breakthrough in training camp and emerge as the starter.

Ra'Shede Hageman poised for breakout season

Hageman was selected in the 2nd round out of Minnesota last year by the Falcons, and really came on strong at the end of the year. Now under a defensive mastermind in Dan Quinn, Hageman is in a position to show the league his physical gifts. Hageman has dropped some weight, and Quinn has been praising his initial quickness this off-season. He will likely be used in many different spots on the line to give offensive lines different looks. If the defense gets better under Quinn in 2015, Hageman will likely be a big part of it.

Fantasy Impact

Hageman will likely be listed as a DT on most fantasy sites, and that will play to an owners advantage with Hageman's ability to rush the passer. If this progression continues, Hageman could possibly find his way into DT2 consideration in IDP leagues.
