Rashid Shaheed has agreed to return to the Seahawks on a three-year, $51 million deal.
Fantasy Impact
Shaheed wasn’t what fantasy players hoped he would be in Seattle, managing only 15 receptions for 188 yards after being traded to Seattle despite his deep threat skillset and QB Sam Darnold’s deep throwing ability. However, Shaheed proved his worth in the return game, returning both a punt and kickoff for a touchdown for Seattle. Hopefully in 2026 he sees more work in the receiving game, as his price tag would imply. This likely means Tory Horton’s breakout is at best delayed, if not completely out of the cards with Cooper Kupp also still on the roster with Shaheed and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
WR Rashid Shaheed is expected to test free agency after failing to agree on an extension with the Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact
Shaheed’s value to the Seahawks largely came from his returning ability. If he signs elsewhere, he could become fantasy-relevant again.
Rashid Shaheed, who ended up in Seattle from New Orleans at the trade deadline, hopes to return to the Pacific Northwest for a Super Bowl title defense in 2026.
Fantasy Impact
Shaheed was a game-changer for the Seahawks and their Super Bowl title run upon his arrival from New Orleans. Although he only caught 15 passes for 188 yards in nine regular season games with the Seahawks, he averaged 29.9 yards per kickoff return and 16.2 yards per punt return with two return touchdowns. He added three catches for 78 yards in three postseason games but kicked off the Seahawks' postseason run with a 95-yard kickoff return for a score on the first play in Seattle's Divisional Round win over the 49ers. Shaheed is a deep threat and a dynamic special teams player who should be on Seattle's list to attempt to work out a deal this offseason.
Rashid Shaheed had just one catch for two yards during the Seahawks' 13-3 victory over the 49ers on Saturday. He did add 64 combined yards on kickoff and punt returns.
Fantasy Impact
SInce joining the Seahawks, Shaheed has caught more than one pass just three times in nine games. While the volume has been light, Shaheed has been a difference maker especially on special teams. He has averaged nearly 30 yards per kick return and 16.2 yards per punt return with two taken for scores (one punt, one kickoff) since being traded from New Orleans.
Rashid Shaheed is off the injury report for Saturday's game against the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Shaheed has cleared concussion protocol after leaving last week's game against the Panthers early. He'll be in his usual special teams role as well as being a speedster on the outside.
