Ray-Ray McCloud III
WR - SF
Ray-Ray McCloud rushed once for a 71-yard touchdown in San Francisco's Week 16 victory versus Washington. He was held catchless on one target.
Fantasy Impact
McCloud produced a 71-yard end-around touchdown run midway through the second quarter to give the 49ers their first score of the game. It served as his first career rushing touchdown, as well as his longest play from scrimmage. McCloud will take on the Raiders in Week 17, though remains off the fantasy radar due to insufficient volume.
Ray-Ray McCloud caught just one pass for 16 yards in Thursday night's 21-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact
There wasn't high expectations from the fantasy community for McCloud in Week 15, and he ended up only catching one pass in the team's divisional win. He doesn't see the field consistently and fails to command targets from rookie QB Brock Purdy when he is in, and there's no reason to trust starting him for the rest of the season.
Ray-Ray McCloud caught all four of his targets for 65 yards and one touchdown in the 49ers' Week 7 defeat to the Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact
McCloud's four targets, four receptions, 65 yards, and touchdown this game all served as new season highs. Despite the strong performance, he is well off the fantasy radar in all formats due to minimal involvement in the offense.
The San Francisco 49ers signed Ray-Ray McCloud to a two-year deal worth up to $10.4 million.
Fantasy Impact
The special teams unit was a mess for the 49ers this past season, so McCloud should certainly help as the league leader in punt return average during the 2021 season. It is possible he sees some looks on the offensive side of the ball with Kyle Shanahan calling the plays, but it'll take some major injuries for him to be relevant from a fantasy football perspective outside of leagues that award points for return yards.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud caught 2-of-2 targets for 20 yards in a 42-21 Wild Card loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
McCloud emerged as a reliable receiving option for the Steelers in the 2021 season. He is set to become a free agent now after spending the past two years in Pittsburgh. McCloud has value as a returner on special teams so he shouldn't have much trouble landing a deal somewhere.
