Reshad Jones will miss Sunday's Week 2 matchup with New England due to an ankle injury.
Jones sustained the injury during Miami's season-opening loss to Baltimore. He played 32 defensive snaps and recorded five total tackles. Minkah Fitzpatrick should see an increased role in Sunday's matchup against the Patriots.
Dolphins safety Reshad Jones announced on Instagram Friday that his shoulder surgery “was a success.” The procedure, according to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com, was to fix a partially torn labrum. There is currently no timetable for a recovery.
Jones had a solid 2018 campaign despite playing most of the season with an injured shoulder. He finished with 72 tackles and three interceptions in 14 games for the Dolphins.
