Rhett Ellison catches four passes in win over Bears

Giants tight end Rhett Ellison caught four of his seven targets for 42 yards in the team's 30-27 overtime win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

While Ellison is considered a blocking tight end, he has seen an increased role when fellow tight end Evan Engram has had to miss games, as he did on Sunday. Engram will be questionable with a hamstring injury heading into the team's Week 14 matchup with the Redskins, and Ellison's value will be limited to deeper leagues even if Engram is unable to suit up.

Rhett Ellison inactive for Week 6

The Giants will host the Eagles on Thursday Night Football and be without their top two tight ends. Evan Engram is still recovering from a knee injury and backup Rhett Ellison will miss the game with a foot ailment. The G-Men are down to Scott Simonson and Garrett Dickerson.

Fantasy Impact

Ellison has played over 92% of New York's snaps and caught five passes while Engram has been sidelined. Simonson played 32 snaps over those two games and should get the starting nod but is well off the fantasy radar. This is a situation to avoid.

Rhett Ellison catches two passes Sunday

New York Giants tight end Rhett Ellison caught two passes for 17 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.

Fantasy Impact

While Ellison is starting for the Giants in place of the injured Evan Engram, he is more of a blocking tight end than a threat in the passing game. With Engram expected back at some point in the next couple of weeks, he does not have a ton of value except for deep leagues.

Rhett Ellison catches three passes against Saints

Giants tight end Rhett Ellison caught three of his five targets for 29 yards while starting for the injured Evan Engram in Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Impact

Ellison will have a bigger role in the offense for the next few weeks with Engram out, but he has always been considered more of a blocking tight end than a threat in the passing game. Still, he did manage to haul in a touchdown pass last week and could be worth a look in deeper leagues based solely on the fact that he will be starting for a few weeks.

Rhett Ellison scores a touchdown in win over the Texans

Rhett Ellison caught three passes for 39 yards and one touchdown in a 27-22 win over the Texans.

Fantasy Impact

Ellison on the season has six catches for 60 yards and one touchdown. He stepped up when Evan Engram went down with a knee injury in the 2nd quarter. If Evan Engram is forced to missed time with the injury Ellison would be a decent fantasy option going against a weak Saints defense next week.
