River Cracraft signs with Commanders practice squad

River Cracraft has signed with the Commanders practice squad.

Fantasy Impact

Cracraft will take the place of Chris Moore, who was signed to the active roster on Wednesday. He’s just a depth piece and is unlikely to hold any fantasy value. Leave him on waivers.

River Cracraft signs with Commanders

The Washington Commanders are signing wide receiver River Cracraft and releasing wide receiver Mike Strachan.

Fantasy Impact

Cracraft most recently played with the Miami Dolphins, spending three seasons there while catching 25 passes. After going undrafted in 2017, the former Washington State receiver spent time with three teams before landing in Florida. He spent time with Seattle earlier this offseason before being waived in May.

River Cracraft (shoulder) activated from IR

The Dolphins activated River Cracraft from injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact

Cracraft is set to make his season debut when he gets onto the field. He remains off the fantasy radar.

River Cracraft placed on IR, designated to return

River Cracraft has been placed on Miami's injured reserve with a designation to return.

Fantasy Impact

Cracraft will miss a couple of weeks at least at the start of the season while on IR, but he is expected to make his return to the field sooner rather than later. He doesn't have standalone fantasy value, but his added depth could be useful for Tua Tagovailoa.

River Cracraft (upper body) won't be ready for Week 1

Miami Dolphins WR River Cracraft suffered an upper-body injury during the team's preseason contest and will miss time extending into the start of the regular season.

Fantasy Impact

While he is expected to return this season, this is not ideal for Miami, which was relying on him to help solidify its WR depth. He dealt with injuries last season which limited him to just 10 games. The Dolphins wanted Odell Beckham Jr. to be their WR3, but he is also dealing with an injury, so they will potentially have to turn to veteran WR Braxton Berrios or rookie WR Malik Washington in the season opener.
