Ronald Blair III
DE - NYJ
Former San Francisco 49ers DE Ronald Blair has reportedly signed a deal with the New York Jets, per Adam Schefter.
Blair last played in 2019, recording 21 tackles, seven TFLs, three QB hits, three sacks, and a fumble recovery across nine games for the 49ers. He reunites with Jets' head coach Robert Salah, his former DC in San Francisco. The 28-year old defensive end will have a chance to compete in training camp to make the 53-man roster, where the Jets are notably thin at the defensive end position.
DE Ronald Blair recorded two solo tackles, two assisted tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack in the San Francisco 49ers' Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Blair harassed Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers all game long, and looked good doing so. The 49ers would be smart to play him more often, but at this point he's a part-time player.
Ronald Blair recorded two sacks on four tackles in the 49ers' win over the Giants.
Blair recorded his first and second sacks of the season in his second game of the season. Blair will look to build on his performance following the 49ers' bye week.
