Week 17 Outlook
Sam Sloman made both of his field-goal attempts and all five of his extra-point attempts in Week 17 against the Texans by a 41-38 score.
Sloman was filling on for Stephen Gostkowski (COVID-19), who should be back in time for the team's opening-round playoff matchup against the Ravens. Sloman will hope to get a permanent job with a team in 2021.
NFL's Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Los Angeles Rams are waiving K Sam Sloman.
Sloman's release comes in the wake of the signing of K Kai Forbath last week. Sloman missed a 48-yard field goal on Monday night against the Bears and that seemed to be the last straw. Sloman, the 248th pick of the 2020 NFL draft, finished his seven-game tenure in LA going 8-of-11 on FG attempts and missing three extra points.
Sam Sloman hit 1-of-2 field goals from 22-yards out while having the other attempt blocked and connected on all three of his extra point attempts during the Rams' 24-10 win over the Bears on Monday Night Football.
Sloman was perfect outside of a blocked kick late in the game but he doesn't see enough volume to be considered an elite option. He will be a solid streamer, however, against the Dolphins in Week 8.
Sam Sloman connected on his lone field goal attempt from 42-yards out but was only able to hit 1-of-2 extra points during the Rams' Week 6 loss.
Sloman hasn't seen enough volume to warrant weekly fantasy consideration. He should only be viewed as a streaming option in deeper leagues ahead of the Rams' Week 7 matchup against the Bears.
Sam Sloman connected on his lone field goal attempt while chipping in 3-of-4 extra points during the Rams' 30-10 victory over the Washington Football Team in Week 5.
Sloman did his job despite seeing limited opportunities once again. It would have been nice to see him connect on all of his extra point tries, but even the best of the best miss from time to time. Despite being on an efficient offense, Sloman is not seeing enough volume to warrant fantasy consideration outside of deep leagues.
