For the second straight week, the 49ers' defense dominated. The unit has surrendered just 20 points in two games, holding both the Rams and Dolphins under 300 yards of total offense. The 49ers will remain a popular play in Week 3 against the Cardinals.

The Niners defensive totals were modest, with one interception and a fumble recovery, but were held without a sack. They just kept the Rams from moving the ball while not racking up much in the “counting stats” category. It’s a good showing for the team, and a date with the Dolphins is on tap. They are a great DST option this week if available.

Seattle had 361 net yards, including 180 on the ground, and did not turn the ball over against the 49ers defense. That's two straight weeks - and three of the last four - that San Francisco has not forced a turnover.
The 49ers D/ST failed to register a sack or force a turnover in a 42-38 win over the Bears in Week 17.

The unit struggled to keep the Bears from moving the ball, allowing multiple touchdowns on the ground as well as through the air in the win. The defense will look to get back on track in a Week 18 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
