Scott Solomon
LB - FA
Week 5 Outlook
The Cleveland Browns released outside linebacker Scott Solomon.
Fantasy Impact
Solomon was originally re-signed on a one-year, $1.671 million contract as a restricted free agent, but the addition of rookies Emmanuel Ogbah and Carl Nassib made him expendable. Having played only 33 snaps last year and coming off a knee injury, it isn't a guarantee he latches on elsewhere.
Scott Solomon played in his first game of the year on Sunday against the Ravens. He did not record a stat in the game.
Fantasy Impact
Solomon suffered a knee injury in the second quarter, and head coach Mike Pettine believes it could cause him to miss extended time. It looks like it is going to be a lost season for the fourth year linebacker due to injuries. Look for rookie Nate Orchard to continue to see a playing time boost with Solomon out.
Outside linebacker Scott Solomon is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks following an ankle injury last week against the Jets.
Fantasy Impact
Solomon was shaping up as a sleeper in IDP leagues. He will likely be replaced by a combination of Barkevious Mingo and Nate Orchard.
