Sean Renfree plays very well in Falcons preseason win

Sean Renfree played all of the first half and into the third quarter for the Falcons and was 10/15 for 75 yards and a TD in the teams win over the Ravens. The team was more run heavy in this game, hence the low number of attempts for Renfree. He looked really solid in this game, especially on his touchdown pass to Carlton Mitchell where he stayed firm in the pocket and delivered a strike before getting hit. It appears that Renree has solidified himself a roster spot with this performance.

Fantasy Impact

If Matt Ryan were to ever go down, it is starting to look like Sean Renfree would be the next man up. He is not worth a roster spot however.

Sean Renfree decent in Falcons loss

Renfree was once again the third QB to enter the game for Atlanta, and he finished 10/14 for 94 yards. For the second week in a row, Renfree has outplayed fellow teammate T.J. Yates. The battle for the backup job at QB is getting closer by the day.

Fantasy Impact

Renfree was under heavy pressure a ton, but he did pretty well managing the offense. There is a real shot that he could beat out Yates for the backup QB job.

Sean Renfree impresses in Falcons victory

Renfree was the third QB to enter the game for Atlanta playing behind Matt Ryan and TJ Yates. Renfree completed six of his seven passes for 68 yards. Renfree and Yates will continue to battle for the Falcons backup QB gig.

Fantasy Impact

Renfree played well, but he will need to step it up a bit more to be able to overtake Yates in this position battle.

Sean Renfree battling for backup QB position

"Sean Renfree looks pretty good moving around in the new system and has been on target with most of his passes. He flashed a big arm on a bomb to Hardy on Monday."

Fantasy Impact

Renfree, the former Duke QB, is battling against TJ Yates, who has been intercepted a few times and has missed on a few underneath passes. This should be an interesting battle throughout the rest of the preseason. Yates has much more experience, including starting the Texans first-ever playoff victory two years ago.
