DE - HOU
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Dolphins are sending Shaq Lawson to the Texans in exchange for Benardrick McKinney.
After a down season for McKinney, the swap of Lawson for him makes alot of sense for both sides. Lawson is 26 and a change of scenery may be best to help revitalize the once first rounders stock. McKinney was on the outs and was being shopped by the Texans for months. The trade is a win-win for both teams.
Dolphins DE Shaq Lawson was removed from the team's Week 4 game against the Seahawks due to a shoulder injury.
Lawson actually appeared to injure his shoulder while sacking Russell Wilson. The team will likely update his status throughout the Week 4. Miami faces San Francisco in Week 5.
Shaq Lawson posted three solo tackles, three TFLs, one sack, two QB hits, and a forced fumble in a 17-10 win over Pittsburgh.
After being virtually non-existent for the Bills the first nine weeks, Lawson has turned up the dial in the last few games. He has recorded more sacks in the previous five weeks than he has in any of his first three seasons. He has turned into a viable pass rush threat for the team, though he doesn't quite possess the upside of elite IDPs. Lawson is no more than middling play next Saturday against the Patriots.
Shaq Lawson posted two solo tackles, two TFLs, two sacks, and three QB hits, as the Bills improved to 8-3 by beating the Broncos, 20-3.
Lawson had season bests in several categories today, and it propelled his team to their eighth win of the year. However, his week-to-week production has been too inconsistent to be inserted into your roster. He'll attempt to have the same impact on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys.
Shaq Lawson has been a terror early on at camp. He has looked like a freak on the field, disrupting plays, and getting to the QB.
Finally healthy, Lawson is primed for a big year. The scheme that Leslie Frazier runs suits Lawson's skill set, and he should be a solid IDP contributor at DE. He could reach double digit sacks this season.
