Browns head coach Todd Monken said his Week 1 starting QB is "TBD."
Fantasy Impact
Monken added he is looking for the "it" factor when picking his guy. Sanders should still be considered the favorite to start for the Browns at the start of next season, but it will be a situation to monitor as the offseason progresses.
Shedeur Sanders completed 11 of 22 passes for 111 yards and ran three times for 26 yards in the Browns' 20-18 win over the Bengals. He also took six sacks and lost a fumble.
Fantasy Impact
When you subtract sack yards, Sanders only had 108 combined passing and rushing yards in the game. Obviously, the Browns' receivers are not doing him many favors, but his accuracy has left a lot to be desired. The win was largely thanks to the defense, as the offense managed just six points in the win. Still, it could push Cleveland out of contention for a QB, as they are now well up the order, and there are several teams ahead of them that are not that motivated to move back in the draft. Sanders may get another shot yet again in 2026, but the end result will likely be the same.
Shedeur Sanders completed 17-of-23 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Browns 13-6 win over the Steelers. He rushed for 20 yards on four carries.
Fantasy Impact
Sanders was able to move the ball effectively in the first quarter, including a 28-yard touchdown pass to Harold Fannin. The Steelers' offense was unable to capitalize on the two interceptions thrown my Sanders. Sanders and the Browns will take on the Bengals in Week 18.
Shedeur Sanders completed 20-of-29 passes for 157 yards with a touchdown and two picks in the Browns' 23-20 loss to the Bills. He also showed off some mobility with 49 rushing yards on four carries.
Fantasy Impact
Sanders briefly left the game with a cut on his pinkie on his throwing hand, but was quickly patched up and back in the game. It wasn't his best performance, but surprisingly, he was only sacked twice against a Bills defense that was constantly pressuring him. He kept the Browns in the game, but ultimately could not come through for the win. He will get Pittsburgh next week.
Shedeur Sanders (finger) has exited the game with an bad cut on the pinkie finger of his throwing hand.
Fantasy Impact
It doesn’t appear that Sanders suffered a major injury, but it was a bad cut. He should be able to be patched up and sent back out, but his status will need to be monitored.
