Skyy Moore soars high in Chiefs’ Week 2 win over Jaguars

In a gritty Week 2 showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver Skyy Moore proved he's more than just a name in the sky.

Fantasy Impact

The 23-year-old hauled in 3 of his 4 targets for a total of 70 yards, including a crucial touchdown that helped the Chiefs secure a 17-9 victory. Moore's performance was highlighted by a 54-yard catch in the fourth quarter, showing off his deep-threat capabilities. Moore's Week 2 performance suggests he could be a rising star in the Chiefs' offense. With the Chicago Bears on the horizon, fantasy managers should keep an eye on Moore's usage and production. His ability to convert targets into significant yardage and touchdowns could make him a valuable asset in the coming weeks.

Skyy Moore Fails to Record Reception in Week 1

After being targeted only three times in the Chiefs' 21-20 loss to the Lions, Skyy Moore could not convert any of those opportunities into receptions.

Fantasy Impact

The 22-year-old wide receiver found himself on the receiving end of some passes from Patrick Mahomes, but the connection just wasn't there. Moore did manage to rush for four yards in the first quarter, but his lack of receptions and receiving yards left fantasy managers wanting more. Looking ahead to Week 2, Moore and the Chiefs will face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he'll have another chance to prove his worth. Despite the disappointing start, it's still early in the season, and Moore has plenty of time to turn things around.

Skyy Moore seeing every rep with first-team in 2-WR sets

Skyy Moore is reportedly seeing every rep with the first-team Chiefs offense in camp when Kansas City has two wide receivers on the field.

Fantasy Impact

There has been some form of hype for just about every Chiefs wide receiver early in camp, so this is notable to see Moore likely being on the field at all times this season. Newell added that Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross have occasionally mixed in with first-team but overwhelmingly been with the second-team. It is still early and things can change, but Moore likely should be the first Chiefs wide receiver off the board in fantasy drafts this year.

Skyy Moore 'impressive' during Chiefs' offseason program

According to Matt McMullen of chiefs.com, Kansas City Chiefs WR Skyy Moore has been impressive during the team's offseason training program, showing off on Day 1 of minicamp with multiple catches in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11.

Fantasy Impact

Moore enters his sophomore season after a relatively uneventful rookie campaign. Despite some offseason hype, Moore caught just 22 passes for 250 yards as a rookie, starting just three games. However, he did have a schemed-up TD catch in the Super Bowl. With JuJu Smith-Schuster gone — the leading pass-catcher at WR in 2022 — as well as WR Mecole Hardman, there's more room for Moore in the offense as an underneath YAC receiver. Moore is attached to a potent offense, but the Chiefs have a somewhat deep receiving crew, despite having no clear WR1, excluding TE Travis Kelce. His current average half-PPR draft position is WR58 as the Chiefs' offensive pecking order is a mystery yet again.

Skyy Moore officially inactive for Week 18

Skyy Moore is officially inactive for the Chiefs' Week 18 matchup with Las Vegas.

Fantasy Impact

Moore missed practice on Tuesday and Thursday as he continues to heal from a lacerated right hand. Moore will turn his focus to healing up in time for the Chiefs' first playoff game.
