Spencer Brown has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's matchup versus the Bengals.
With Chuba Hubbard ruled out for the second consecutive Sunday, Brown and Raheem Blackshear will backup starting running back D'onta Foreman versus the Bengals. In Week 8, Brown recorded six carries for 27 yards and one target while Blackshear recorded two carries for one yard. With Foreman being used as the bell-cow running back, opportunities will be very limited for Brown.
Steve Wilks said Spencer Brown is an option to be elevated from the Panthers practice squad.
This comes with Chuba Hubbard (ankle) being ruled out. Brown has received first-team reps this week. D'Onta Foreman should remain the lead back, but Brown could have a role if elevated.
