Week 13 Outlook
Spencer Ware rushed five times for 14 yards and had two receptions for 22 yards in the Chiefs' 26-3 win over the Bears Sunday. He was targeted three times and missed time with a shoulder injury.
Ware took a backseat with Damien Williams (ribs) returning to the lineup Sunday night. The severity of his shoulder injury is not yet known.
Spencer Ware rushed seven times for 26 yards and brought in both of his targets for nine yards in the Chiefs' 23-3 win over the Broncos Sunday.
Ware shared touches with Darwin Thompson and LeSean McCoy Sunday. None of them can be trusted to see enough work in the fantasy finals next week.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware took his five Week 14 snaps for 11 rushing yards. He hauled in one of his two targets for nine yards receiving.
Ware stunningly led the Kansas City Chiefs in snaps in Week 14. He saw 40 percent of the snaps compared to 31 percent for LeSean McCoy, and 27 percent for Darwin Thompson. Ware saw more carries than Darwin Thompson despite just signing with the team last week, and could continue to a major drain on the fantasy value of one of Week 13’s hottest pickups. Ware could continue to play a large role in this offense as long as Damien and Darrel Williams are sidelined. He should be considered a mid priority waiver wire claim for those in deeper leagues.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed running back Spencer Ware.
The Chiefs have health issues at running back with both Damien and Darrel Williams banged up at the moment. Ware won't get much run behind LeSean McCoy and Darwin Thompson this weekend.
Spencer Ware will work out with the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Ware will join fellow free-agent running back Jay Ayaji and workout with the Cardinals on Tuesday. Ware appears to be fully recovered from the ankle surgery he underwent in the preseason. The Cardinals are looking to add insurance with David Johnson nursing an ankle injury as of late.
