Tae Hayes spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons with the Jaguars, Dolphins, and Vikings before a stint with the Panthers practice squad in 2021. Hayes most recently played for the USFL champion Birmingham Stallions and recorded 37 tackles and one interception. The former Appalachian State Mountaineer will compete for a back-end spot in the Panthers' cornerback room that is headlined by Jaycee Horn and Donte Jackson.
