Week 17 Outlook
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST forced two interceptions in Sunday's 31-9 Super Bowl LV win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Devin White and Antoine Winfield Jr. both intercepted Patrick Mahomes to help the Buccaneers' defense shut down the Chiefs offense in a one-sided 31-9 blowout victory on Sunday. The defensive line of Tampa Bay was elite and exposed the back-up tackles starting for the Chiefs all night long, forcing three sacks, a fumble and two interceptions. Mahomes continuously scrambled inside and outside of the pocket without any time to set his feet while favorite targets Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce were swarmed in double and triple coverage. The Buccaneers D/ST is a top-five option in 2021 redraft leagues and should be targeted in rounds nine thru twelve for a good return on investment.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST forced two turnovers in a 31-26 win against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
The Buccaneers defense was stout, holding Aaron Rodgers out of the end zone multiple times throughout the fourth quarter to secure a 31-26 win and an opportunity to return home and host Super Bowl LV. An early interception and costly fumble from Aaron Jones to open the second half provided huge momentum swings for Tampa Bay to claw out a hard-fought win in Lambeau Field on Sunday. LB Devin White lead the team with 15 tackles and a fumble recovery and will keep the Buccaneers D/ST as an elite top-tier option in 2021 fantasy redraft leagues.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense forced four turnovers, including three interceptions and a forced fumble recovery in a 30-20 Divisional Round win against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
The Bucs defense swarmed Drew Brees and blanketed Saints' receivers throughout the game, shutting down their potent running game and forcing three interceptions to sway the outcome of the game in Tampa's favor. The defensive unit will lean on their confidence and momentum and will attempt to shut down Packers RB Aaron Jones with their No. 1 ranked rushing defense next weekend in the NFC Championship game at Lambeau Field.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST surrendered 385 total yards and 27 points in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Falcons.
The Bucs gave up points and production on Sunday, but the Falcons are a familiar foe. While they only sacked Matt Ryan once, the Tampa defense also forced two turnovers. They were a letdown for fantasy in Week 17.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers D/ST surrendered 186 total yards and seven points in Saturday's Week 16 victory over the Lions.
The Bucs were firing on all cylinders on Saturday. Not only did they knock Matthew Stafford out of the game early, but the Lions were shorthanded on their already inept coaching staff. Detroit never had a chance. If it wasn't for a special team's score by the Lions, they would have blanked. Tampa also forced two turnovers and four total sacks in the afternoon win.
