Tarvaris Jackson arrested on Friday

Former Seattle Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson was arrested on Friday for an alleged domestic altercation with his wife where he pulled a gun and threatened her life.

Fantasy Impact

Tarvaris Jackson is currently on the open free agent market and an incident like this could hinder his chances of playing in the NFL in 2016.

Tavaris Jackson to test open market

Impending free agent quarterback Tavaris Jackson is expected to test the open market rather than re-sign with the Seahawks prior to March 9.

Fantasy Impact

Tavaris Jackson is rumored to exhaust his options rather than immediately staying put as Russell Wikson's backup. Numerous teams have needs at the quarterback position, and Jackson could compete for a starting job is he vacates Seattle.

Tarvaris Jackson is QB2 for the Seattle Seahawks

Tarvaris Jackson is the Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback heading into the 2015 NFL regular season. He will step in if anything happens to Russell Wilson.

Fantasy Impact

Russell Wilson has not missed a game in his NFL career, but it is always good to know your options in case of an emergency. Time can be of the essence when picking up players off of the waiver wire.

Tarvaris Jackson rejoins the Seahawks

Tarvaris Jackson has re-signed with the Seahwks'. Contract terms have yet to be disclosed.

Fantasy Impact

Jackson is the heavy favorite to start the season as the backup QB in Seattle, but will have to compete with UDFA R.J. Archer for the job. In Pete Carroll's 2nd season as head coach, Jackson led the team to an 7-9 season in 2011 as the starter, and can be trusted to keep things together for short periods of time. Seattle would most likely double-down on their already run-heavy offense if Jackson was forced into action, making him fantasy irrelevant in all but the deepest of formats.
