LB - MIN
The Vikings placed LB Todd Davis on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Davis will miss the Vikings' Week 8 game against the Packers. Rookie Troy Dye will start in his place.
The Minnesota Vikings are signing free agent LB Todd Davis.
Davis is coming off back to back 100 tackle campaigns with the Broncos. This move comes in the wake of LB Anthony Barr being placed on season-ending IR with a torn pectoral muscle. The Minnesota D/ST has been woeful this season and should not be started for fantasy teams.
LB Todd Davis has been released by the Denver Broncos
Davis is somewhat of a surprising cut after making 126 tackles a season ago. He’s spent each of his six years in the NFL with the Broncos and now he’ll look to join another team in need of an inside linebacker. Davis’ release clears approximately $4.5M in cap space.
LB Todd Davis is expected to miss two-to-three weeks with a calf injury.
Davis injured his calf in Thursday's practice, but is expected to be ready by Week 1. He dealt with calf issues most of last season. Davis racked up 134 tackles and one pass defensed across 14 games in 2019. The 28-year-old is currently 25th among all linebackers in the latest expert consensus rankings.
Mike Klis is reporting that Broncos linebacker Todd Davis injured his calf and was carted off the field in Thursday's practice.
Davis dealt with calf issues last season which kept him out of the first two weeks. He headed into 2020 listed as the starting RILB for Vic Fangio's defense and racked up 134 total tackles last season. His loss would be a huge blow to the Broncos.
