DeVito will be inactive and serve as the emergency third quarter. Drew Lock has recovered from his abdomen injury and will serve as the backup QB to Daniel Jones.

Tommy DeVito completed 14 of his 27 passes for 103 yards while adding five carries for 48 yards in a 10-6 loss to the Jets in preseason action on Saturday.

DeVito played the entire game but struggled with a fierce Jets pass rush, getting sacked eight times. He managed to lead the Giants to two field goals but was held out of the end zone in the contest. DeVito is likely to open the regular season as the team's QB3 assuming there are not any injuries ahead of him.

Tommy DeVito completed 10-of-19 pass attempts for 75 yards while also rushing once for two yards and fumbling once in the Giants' 28-10 loss to the Texans.

Fantasy Impact

DeVito did little to inspire confidence on offense after replacing starting quarterback Daniel Jones behind center Saturday. The signal-caller is likely locked in as the No. 3 quarterback for the Giants unless either Daniel Jones or Drew Lock suffer injuries.

Giants beat reporter Art Stapeleton suggested Tommy DeVito looks a lot closer to QB2 than QB3 early in camp.

Stapleton added that it is still very early, but it is at least noteworthy. The Giants brought in Drew Lock this offseason who was likely considered to be the clear favorite to backup Daniel Jones, but it appears it could be some sort of competition between Lock and DeVito as the offseason progresses.
