QB - New York Giants
Tommy DeVito completed nine of his 16 passes for 55 yards and added a five-yard rush in a 33-25 loss to the Eagles in Week 16.
DeVito was benched at halftime as the Giants sent Tyrod Taylor out to start at quarterback in the third quarter. DeVito struggled to move the ball against Philadelphia as the Giants only mustered three points in the first half. It remains to be seen which quarterback gets the start in Week 17 against the Rams.
Tommy DeVito completed 20 of his 34 passes for 177 scoreless yards and added 36 yards on four carries in a 24-6 loss to the Saints in Week 15.
DeVito was held out of the end zone for the first time in his career in games he started, although his 36 rushing yards led the team. The rookie quarterback did miss a few plays to get checked for a concussion in the first half but was cleared and was able to return in short order. Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters after the game that DeVito will remain the team's starter next week against the Eagles on Christmas Day.
Tommy DeVito completed 17-of-21 passes for 158 yards with one touchdown in the Giants' 24-22 win over Green Bay.
The fantastic story of DeVito continued Monday night as he led the Giants to a third straight win with five passing touchdowns and zero interceptions in that span. He added an element to his game with his legs Monday night that we hadn't seen the previous two games, rushing for 71 yards. With the run he has been on, he should remain the Giants starter for the rest of this season.
New York Giants QB Tommy DeVito will remain the team's starter under center against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14, according to head coach Brian Daboll.
The Giants opened backup QB Tyrod Taylor's 21-day practice window on Monday, setting him up to potentially return this season. However, it seems unlikely that he will return in Week 14. DeVito remains the team's starter for now, but Taylor's status should remain monitored in case he does return to the starting role.
Tommy DeVito completed 17-of-25 passes for 191 yards and one touchdown in the Giants’ 10-7 win over the Patriots.
DeVito also added six rushing yards on five carries in the win Sunday. Other than the one lost fumble, the undrafted rookie played well and converted for a touchdown after a key interception prior to the end of the first half. DeVito and the Giants will take on the Packers in Week 14.
