TE - BUF - OUT
Week 12 Outlook
Tommy Sweeney caught all five of his targets for 76 yards in the Bills' Week 17 loss to the Jets.
With rookie Dawson Knox inactive, Sweeney was asked to take on more snaps and routes in Week 17 and delivered a big performance. That said, he's still likely to find himself behind Knox and Tyler Kroft for playing time in the playoffs and into the 2020 season. Sweeney has little long-term fantasy appeal.
Tommy Sweeney caught both of his targets for 35 yards in the Bills' season opener, a dramatic win over the Jets.
Sweeney does not figure to be a reliable part of this passing attack and should not be on the fantasy radar at this point.
Tommy Sweeney caught both of his targets for 47 yards in the Bills' preseason win over the Panthers.
Sweeney is unlikely to be a primary pass-catcher on the team this season, as that role would figure to go to third-round pick Dawson Knox over the seventh-rounder Sweeney. Sweeney was a solid receiver in college, so may surface down the line, but his outlook for 2019 is unexciting.
Tommy Sweeney was targeted once in the Bills' preseason opener against the Colts.
Sweeney was a moderately interesting TE prospect, but being on the same team that drafted Dawson Knox hurts. Sweeney won't likely contribute in the passing game in any meaningful way.
