Tony Pollard could see snaps at receiver this year?

Todd Archer of ESPN believes Tony Pollard might see snaps at receiver this season.

Fantasy Impact

Pollard, a rookie in 2019, showed a lot of potential playing behind Ezekiel Elliott. He rushed for 455 yards and three scores while also hauling in 15 passes for 107 receiving yards. Pollard was utilized as a receiver while at Memphis and would obviously benefit from a larger role in the passing game this year. Additionally, as Zeke's direct backup, he is arguably the most valuable handcuff in fantasy football.

Tony Pollard tops 100 yards rushing, scores a touchdown Sunday

Cowboys running back Tony Pollard rushed 12 times for 131 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 12 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams.

Fantasy Impact

Pollard is typically the backup to Ezekiel Elliott and doesn't see a ton of work behind a workhorse like Elliott, but the Cowboys ran the ball early and often with much success on Sunday, so Pollard saw his share of touches.

Tony Pollard (ankle) should be good to go versus Rams in Week 15

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said that running back Tony Pollard "should be able to play" in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Impact

After sitting out Week 14's contest with an ankle injury against the Bears Thursday night, Pollard is expected to suit up for a crucial match-up against the Rams in Week 15. This will affect starting running back Ezekiel Elliott's usage a little bit, but nothing too serious from hurting his fantasy value at all. Pollard will just add an extra dimension to Dallas' rushing attack like he has throughout the year at times.

Tony Pollard (ankle) inactive for Thursday Night Football vs. Bears

Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is officially inactive for the team's Week 14 matchup against the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football due to an ankle injury.

Fantasy Impact

For fantasy purposes, Pollard is primarily a handcuff to starting running back Ezekiel Elliott, so his absence shouldn't be a huge blow to fantasy owners. Fullback Jamize Olawale should be the primary backup to Elliott on Thursday, though wide receivers Tavon Austin and Randall Cobb have experience in the backfield, as well.

Tony Pollard (knee) doesn't practice Tuesday

Tony Pollard (knee) was absent from Tuesday's practice.

Fantasy Impact

Pollard injured his knee on Thanksgiving and should be considered questionable for Week 14 against the Bears. We should know more once tomorrow's practice report comes out.
